United Nations' World Food Programme (WFP) - the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize recipient


Kenro Oshidari, the former Regional Director for Asia of the World Food Programme will present a talk on his work with the WFP. The talk will be followed by a live streaming Q&A with viewers!

With over 30 years of experience with the United Nations, Kenro worked with the World Food Programme (WFP) delivering food assistance in various countries suffering from poverty, conflicts and natural disasters. WFP was awarded the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize.

Currently, based in Japan, he is focusing on capacity building of young professionals aspiring to work in the international humanitarian and development assistance field. 

This talk is presented by the Worldview Project, along with the San Diego World Affairs Council, the United Nations Association of San Diego, the USD Kroc School of Peace Studies, the San Diego Diplomacy Council, Survivors of Torture International, and Global San Diego.
